About Us

Lakeshore Automotive & Tire isn’t just another repair shop—it’s the result of a vision shared by two friends who weren’t afraid to put in the work to build something great. Co-owners Jack Currier and Ryan Mihalek both spent decades turning wrenches and earning the trust of local customers before finally taking the leap and opening their own shop in 2022. What started as after-hours repairs in their free time eventually became a full-time mission: to create a space where automotive excellence and genuine customer care go hand in hand.

Located at 702 S James Street in Ludington, our 5,000-square-foot shop features five bays, an alignment rack, and state-of-the-art tools to handle any job—big or small. Jack, Ryan, and their team of ASE and Master Certified Technicians work on all makes and models, foreign or domestic, and stay current on the latest systems and technologies through ongoing education.

But more than the tools or the training, what really sets Lakeshore Automotive & Tire apart is the atmosphere. You’ll hear laughter in our bays, friendly greetings at the front desk, and maybe even smell something cooking in the back—thanks to Sarah, our service writer, office manager, and unofficial shop chef. We’re proud to be a growing part of the Ludington community, and we’re here to stay. Expanding on our commitment to serving local drivers, we also opened Lakeshore Motor Sales, offering a carefully selected inventory of used vehicles to meet all your automotive needs.
